When C+D first contacted us to shoot their Wedding we were over the moon! Holmes Mills has been on our ‘wedding venues we would LOVE to shoot list’ for a long time. We absolutely love Brewery Weddings and Industrial Chic Weddings and it’s a Brucey bonus if the wedding is not too far away from home. Holmes Mills is only 30 miles from our home! We met C+D at a wedding in 2017 where Dan was a groomsman for Rob. fast forward 2 years and Rob was a groomsman for Dan and we were so happy to be shooting the wedding.

We arrived in the morning at the Hotel attached to Holmes Mill called the Spinning Block. It’s such a great hotel! We headed up to the bride and groom prep where everyone was getting ready. Dan handed out presents to his mates, shirts ironed and the last of the lippy popped on. Once the boys were ready they headed out to meet the guests at Holmes Mill in the glorious sun. The girls followed shortly afterwards.

The wedding ceremony was held at Holmes Mill’s Cotton Room. The room is amazing. A big space with cool industrial walls and the most quirky props added to the venue. It’s amazing when you walk in. All the guests were seated and waited for the arrival of Charlotte. When she arrived Dan cried. He cried ( I know Charlotte will appreciate us writing about this 🙂 )

Wedding Ice Cream from the Gelateria at Holmes Mill

After the ceremony was concluded everyone headed outside ready for the confetti throw before enjoying drinks and canapes in the Spinning Block Bistro. For C+D’s couple portraits, we headed to The Gelateria ice cream shop to grab a cone and enjoy the sunshine around the area of Holmes Mills. Now I would love to talk about what we did and said but I will leave that between C+D and us.

Wedding Cake from Finch Bakery

After enjoying the sun, drinks and canapes we headed back into the Cotton Room at Holmes Mills ready to cut that bloody amazing cake from Finch Bakery. We can confirm it is in the top 3 this year of amazing wedding cakes. We had a slice each with a cuppa Yorkshire tea once we got home from the wedding. After cutting the cake the C+D shuffled to the first dance song and then everyone partied!

C+D thank you loads for having us along to the wedding. We had such a great time with you guys and half of the things we said to each other just cannot be repeated in this blogpost 😉
